Work selected to be part of an exhibition at IKEA, Cardiff
After completing a live module in collaboration with Ikea, my work was selected to be part of an exciting exhibition in the main foyer of Ikea, Cardiff which was organised and implemented by a student cohort including myself.
I re-invented an IVAR flat pack chair following a ‘Teatime Chintz’ theme, using recycled vintage teacups as mosaic; 3D photographic elements and screen printing. This was styled and shot in the exhibition space. Alongside the mosaiced chair, I displayed a fabric sample, which can be seen draped beneath. The fabric length was hand dyed a shocking pink to co-ordinate with the ‘Teatime Chintz’ theme and then hand screen-printed with a hand-drawn floral design and embellished with cut photographic elements.
