Happy New Year…

I’m back!

So, despite the fact that I haven’t posted anything since July last year, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth! I’ve just been busy earning a crust, so unfortunately the old blog has gone to sleep for a while.

But I haven’t been sleeping!

Since my last blog post I’ve…
…made some pretty lovely personalised name bunting for my gorgeous nephew Marley – complete with elf-y fabric;
…designed and decorated an engagement ring box for a friend (she said yes!) – mice featured quite strongly on this one;
…designed and constructed a very large, striking curtain panel for my fella’s birthday – he appreciated a curtain as a birthday present, honest;
…made Quilt No. 2 (this was a biggy – with a total of 220 patchwork squares, hand embroidering of a large portion of Pigling Bland and more bobbin thread than you can imagine);
…become Aunty Vornie for a second time to the delightful Finley!!!;
…designed and knocked up 7 fabulous Christmas cushions for that big family of mine (not at all last minute…);
…made a start on Quilt No. 3 (watch this space…);
…and worked full time on jewellery production at the dutch jewellery company Exoal.

Oh, and had a major hard-drive failure, resulting in all the documentation of these wonderful crafty things being momentarily lost…that was hair-raising. And expensive.

So that’s my last six months in a nutshell. You’ll be pleased to know that I will now be blogging to make up for lost time with lots of lovely images and stories of the things I’ve been creating. Here’s a taster…

Detail of Quilt No.2: bespoke quilt created for my stunning sister Tara to celebrate the birth of her first little one, Finley. Quilts like this one soon on sale in my Etsy shop (coming soon!)
